Roundabout Paphos

The A6 motorway is a motorway in Cyprus . The motorway forms an east-west connection across the southwest of the island from Limassol to Paphos and is actually an extension of the A1 from Nicosia . The highway is 66 kilometers long.

Street description

In the west of the port city of Limassol, the motorway begins as an extension of the A1 from Nicosia. The highway runs in four lanes west through the British military base of Akrotiri . The highway runs along the coast, with some spectacular views of the sea and the rocky coastline. It goes along the Paphos airport; the A6 ends in a roundabout in Paphos.

history

The A6 is the last major project by the Cypriot government to connect the country's main cities with highways. The last section opened in 2006. It is the only motorway in Cyprus with a tunnel of 950 meters and an approximately 110 meter long bridge.
