Course of the road

The A2 motorway is a motorway in Cyprus . The road forms a connection between the A1 to Nicosia and the city of Larnaka . The highway is 21 kilometers long.

Street description

In the village of Alambra , the motorway begins at a cross with the A1 , which leads north in the direction of Nicosia and in the south-east in the direction of Limassol . The highway was expanded to four lanes. It passes a number of villages and small towns and remains largely north of the central mountain range of Cyprus. The motorway runs very close to the border with the Turkish part of Cyprus. On the west side of Larnaka, the A2 ends at a cross with the A3 or B2 , whereby the B2 leads to the city center of Larnaka.

history

The A2 is one of the first highways in Cyprus where the first interchange with the A1 was built.
