Course of the road
|
The A922 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Area Perth and Kinross .
course
The street starts at a roundabout in the center of the town of Milnathort . This is where the A91 ( Bannockburn - St Andrews ) and A911 (Milnathort - Windygates ) highways go . Parallel to the M90 , which describes a wide arc around Kinross and Milnathort, the A922 runs in a south-westerly direction and gradually turns south. The road crosses the North Queich River between the two cities and then reaches Kinross, where it forms one of the main thoroughfares. At the confluence of the B996 coming from the south, the A922 bends west. As Springfield Road it leads to the west and leads through a residential area in an arch to the west edge of Kinross. There it ends after a total length of 2.9 km at a roundabout, via which the M90 is connected. This is where she meets the A977 coming from Kincardine .
Surroundings
A total of four listed buildings are listed along the A922. In Milnathort this is the Milnathort Parish Church , a sandstone church in neo-Gothic style, which is protected as a Category B building . There is also the neighboring Royal Hotel from the early 19th century . Also from the early 19th century are the residential buildings to the north at 2-6 South Street .
