The AFC President's Cup 2012 was the eighth edition of the AFC President's Cup , the club competition for the weakest Asian football associations. All twelve participating teams were reigning national champions.
As in the last three editions of the tournament, the competition was not held entirely in one place. The preliminary round groups were each played as a tournament in a city. Lahore , Pakistan hosted Group A, Phnom Penh , the capital of Cambodia , hosted Group B, while Group C games were played in Dushanbe and Tursunzoda , Tajikistan . After that, instead of the semifinals, there were two groups with three clubs per group. The venue for these groups was Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The finals also took place in Dushanbe.
The semi-final groups were played between September 24th and 30th, 2012, the final took place on September 30th. The games took place at the Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe , Tajikistan .
