The AFC President's Cup 2008 was the fourth edition of the AFC President's Cup , the club competition for the weakest Asian football associations. With the downgrading of Bangladesh and Turkmenistan from the AFC Cup and the first-time participation of Myanmar, the field of participants increased from eight to eleven teams. All eleven participating teams were reigning national champions. Due to the failure of its championship, Nepal sent last year's champions.

In contrast to the previous competitions, the competition was not held entirely in one place. The preliminary round groups were each played as a tournament in a city, the final round then took place in Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan .
