The 1933–34 season was the eighth regular season for the American Hockey Association (AHA). The Kansas City Greyhounds became champions .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Kansas City Pla-Mors changed their name to Kansas City Greyhounds.
- The Wichita Blue-Jays changed their name to Wichita Vikings.
mode
In the regular season, the five teams were supposed to play 48 games each, but the Wichita Vikings were excluded from the league after just three games. The top three teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first place in the regular season qualified directly for the final. The playoff semifinals were played in best-of-three mode, the final in best-of-five mode. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
