The Assosisaun Soccer Ponta Leste , short AS Ponta Leste , is an East Timorese football club . It is based in the state capital Dili .
history
In 2015 AS Ponta Leste reached in the qualifying round for the newly founded LFA Primeira Divisão in Group B place 1 of 5 and thus reached the top division. In the 2016 season she came fifth out of eight, in 2017 she was runner-up and in 2018 fourth.
In 2016, they won the national cup, Taça 12 de Novembro , on September 10th , and then prevailed on November 24th in the Super Taça game with 2-1 against national champions Sport Laulara e Benfica . In 2017 they were eliminated in the third main round and in 2018 in the semi-finals.
