The AVAG Holding SE is an automotive trade group that distributes different brands. At the same time, the holding company is a service provider that supports its car dealerships in administration. The company's headquarters are in Augsburg.
As of December 31, 2016, 54 trading operations at 167 locations across Europe were under the umbrella of the operational management and financial holding company, which is managed from the Augsburg headquarters. 38 of these dealerships are active at a total of 130 locations in Germany.
In addition to its main brand Opel, AVAG sells the manufacturers Toyota and Ford . In addition, AVAG also operates locations for Nissan , Honda , Subaru , Suzuki , Lexus , Hyundai , Kia , Dacia , Peugeot , Volvo , Alfa Romeo , Citroën and Mercedes-Benz . In the 2015/2016 financial year, the AVAG Group sold around 112,000 vehicles (55,816 new vehicles and 55,978 used vehicles) and achieved total sales of around € 1.86 billion.
In 2014, AVAG Holding SE bought Auto-Staiger, among others . In 2015, the takeover of Automobilforum Pfullingen-Reutlingen and two branches of the Hofmann car dealership in Memmingen and Mindelheim followed. In March 2016, the Peschel dealership in Dresden was taken over by the Dresden dealership. In June, the Toyota dealer Frankengarage with locations in Nuremberg, Erlangen and Fürth was integrated into the AVAG Group. On May 1, 2018, the AVAG Group took over all locations of the Austrian dealer Wiesenthal in Lower Austria and Burgenland as well as one location in Vienna.
