After a demo , an EP , two albums and concerts etc. a. With At the Gates , Dissection , Edge of Sanity and Hypocrisy , A Canorous Quintet was put on hold in favor of other bands. However, the members remained in contact.
Mårten Hansen then sang with October Tide and Sins of Omission until they broke up, and later with Votur . Jesper Löfgren, Fredrik Andersson and Linus Nirbrant joined Guidance of Sin , Linus also founded The Dead with Fredrik . Leo Pignon first played with Niden Div. 187 . After its dissolution, he founded Curriculum Mortis together with Fredrik Andersson, who in the meantime had become known as the drummer of Amon Amarth .

A record deal was the result. For legal reasons, the band name was changed to This Ending and then started recording the debut album. On December 1, 2006, Inside the Machine was released , the cover of which was designed by Leo Pignon. The second album, Dead Harvest, followed in January 2009 . In 2014 guitarist Leo Pignon and bassist Jesper Löfgren left the band. Jesper Löfgren was replaced by Linus Pettersson. In early 2016 the band signed a new contract with Apostasy Records and released their third album Garden of Death in April . A short time later, Peter Nagy (including Mörk Gryning ) was confirmed as the new guitarist.
