A Million Degrees ( English for a million degrees is) the third studio album of the band international project Emigrate to the Rammstein - lead guitarist Richard Kruspe . It was released on November 30, 2018 on the Vertigo and Universal Music labels .

History of origin

In an interview with Krone.at in November 2014 , Kruspe announced that a third album was almost finished and should be finalized in 2015. In a Facebook post on the official Emigrate website, Kruspe specified this information in February 2015. Accordingly, the album should be completed in March, mixed in April and expected to be released in September 2015. In an interview with Metal Hammer magazine in June 2017, Kruspe said that the third Emigrate album had already been finished two and a half years ago. Since then, he has been waiting for the right time for a publication, but now sees a great need for action. As it later turned out, water damage in Kruspe's studio in 2015 destroyed all recordings.

General

On July 26, 2018, Emigrate's Facebook page published a call for applications as an extra for the video shoot, which was planned a week later, together with Benjamin Kowalewicz and Ian D'Sa from Billy Talent . On October 19, 2018 Kruspe released the first single 1234 from the third Emigrate album A Million Degrees . The Canadian Billy Talent singer Benjamin Kowalewicz takes on the lead vocals at 1234 . The album was produced by Sky van Hoff . The album was released on November 30, 2018.

As with the previous album Silent So Long, guest interpreters took part. In addition to D'Sa and Kowalewicz from Billy Talent , there were Margaux Bossieux (already worked on Silent So Long on the song Happy Times ), Rammstein band member Till Lindemann and Ghost singer and front man Cardinal Copia .

Cover design

The album cover shows Kruspe's head as an unfinished structure made of glass or diamond. Above it is the band's name in white letters, the name of the album in a small font at the bottom right.
