Sky van Hoff

Sky van Hoff (* 1986 ) is a German music producer, songwriter and musician.

Life

At the age of 16, Sky van Hoff went on his first European tour under the Century Media flag. At the age of 17 he signed his first record deal with his band Machinemade God with the American indie label Metal Blade Records . He wrote and produced their second CD 'Masked' entirely himself.

The following producer inquiries led to his own studio at the beginning of 2008. His reference list includes names such as Kreator , The Sorrow , Caliban but also Marc Terenzi .

With Stefanie Kloß ( Silbermond ), Marta Jandová ( Die Happy ) and Valentina he worked as a guitarist, under the direction of Wolfgang Stach , on the project "Mädchen checken das", initiated by the German Cancer Aid .

In addition to his work as a producer, he writes and works for various television, advertising and film projects.

In 2012 he was involved in the Vox production X-Factor (3rd season) as musical director in Sandra Nasić's competence team, where he supervised and produced the “Bands” category. He led the band Mrs. Greenbird to victory and into the German single charts. He produced their first album, released on December 21, 2012, which resulted in two Echo nominations and was gilded.

On October 19th, 2018 the Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe released the first single "1234" from the third album "A million degrees", which was produced by van Hoff, as part of his second band project Emigrate .

The release of the album was announced for November 30, 2018. The Canadian Billy Talent singer Benjamin Kowalewicz takes on the lead vocals at 1234 .
