Aalsum ( West Frisian Ealsum ) is a village in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân in the Dutch province of Friesland . It is located north of Dokkum and has 125 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
history
Aalsum was built on a terp , which has already been partially removed. In Aalsum there is a church from 1200, dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria .
