Aaron Stell

Aaron Stell (born March 26, 1911 in Pennsylvania , † January 7, 1996 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film editor .

Life

Stell began to work as an independent editor in 1943. Until the mid-1950s he was involved in movies without exception, then he was used in a few episodes of the television series Rin-Tin-Tin and The Count of Monte Cristo . At the end of the 1960s, several other television productions followed, from 1976 his focus was on these.

In 1964 Stell directed the film The Gallant One , for which he wrote a screenplay for the first and only time in his career. Remnants of Auric Hearing , his second directorial work, was only released posthumously in 2004.

In 1996 Stell received the ACE Career Achievement Award from the American Cinema Editors . He had previously been nominated twice for the Eddie Award, the first time in 1963 for his services at Who disturbs the nightingale .

Stell has been involved in more than 130 productions during his career.
