The New York gang boss
The New York Gangster Boss , also known as Lepke , is a 1975 crime film about the infamous New York mobster Louis "Lepke" Buchalter from Murder, Inc.

Louis, arrested several times at a young age, returns home after being released from prison and is completely on his own. Through his childhood friend "Gurrah" Shapiro , Louis got a job with the local gang leader "Little Augie" Orgen , who hired him as a "muscle".
In the course of time he befriends the Italian "Lucky" Luciano and also clears his boss Little Augie out of the way, he marries and becomes more and more famous and influential in the New York underworld.
Louis Lepke enters the narcotics business and builds up a flourishing business over the years. In addition to the surveillance by the FBI and the distrust of his father-in-law, a gang war breaks out, in which Louis is also an opponent of Lucky Luciano and thus the Italian-American mafia . At a later meeting, Louis is persuaded by Luciano and Albert Anastasia to face the FBI because they have made a deal with FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover . Ultimately, however, everything turns out differently and he is sentenced to death by the electric chair because of the numerous murders that he is charged with.

On February 10, 1975, the AmeriEuro Pictures Corp- produced film was released in the United States. In Greece the film became known under the title "O kyklos tou aimatos" and in Italy under the title "Big Boss".
