action
Deepak is a truck driver who picks up the famous singer Aasha when her car goes on strike. They make friends very quickly. Aasha feels more for Deepak, who is in love with Mala and marries her. Despite everything, she congratulates him.
Suddenly Deepak has an accident and everyone thinks he was killed in it. Out of sheer grief, his mother sends the pregnant mala away. Mala goes to her father, who, however, dies. With so much misfortune in Mala's life, she jumps off a bridge into the water. She will be saved, but she is now blind. She gives birth to a daughter who she names Deepamala. A combination of her own name and that of her husband.
Deepak, whom everyone thought was dead, returns home. His mother is overjoyed and explains to him that Mala has committed suicide. Then he becomes depressed. Aasha re-enters Deepak's life and helps overcome his depression. During their time together, they fall in love.
After a while, Deepak and Aasha meet the little girl Deepamala, who sells statues of gods on the street. The two are immediately delighted with Deepamala, but they do not know that Deepak is the girl's father.
Aasha also meets Mala and tells her that they will pay for the necessary eye surgery. Aasha also invites Mala and Deepamala to their wedding. After Mala regains her eyesight, she goes to the wedding with her daughter. Shocked to find Deepak there, she immediately leaves the event so as not to stand between the two.
Mala's friend explains to Deepak that Mala is still alive and that Deepamala is his daughter. Aasha asks Deepak to go to his family, which he does. Aasha returns to her old life as a singer and sings her famous song Shisha Ho Ya Dil Ho, Aakhir Toot Jata Hai ( The heart is like glass, it inevitably breaks ).
