From tomorrow there is a short film from 2011. Anno Koehler plays a German family man who buys a kidney from a living donor abroad.

The film premiered as part of the “32. Film Festival Max Ophüls Preis “on January 20, 2011.

The story is about a person who buys someone else's life in order to save his own.

Christoph is terminally ill and buys a kidney from a living donor abroad. Lost in a strange city and in a completely unfamiliar situation, he finally undergoes the operation, in which the donor dies, however.

Even now medically healthy, Christoph struggles in shock with the fact that he has to answer for someone else's death. He feels guilty about his conscience and the thought of having destroyed a family in order to save his own. He finds himself confronted with his moral concepts and struggles to find a way out. He has to recognize that there is no way out of this situation for either side.

production

The film is a co-production by Black Rabbit Pictures and the Macromedia University for Media and Communication and was shot in November 2009 in Germany and Bosnia. The executive producers, scriptwriters and directors were Raphael Wallner and Stefan Elsenbruch . Post-production of the film was completed in September 2010. Ab Morgen celebrated its world premiere in January 2011.
