Aba is a town in the Aba suburb of Fejér County in Hungary . Aba is the administrative seat of the small area. In 2011, 4,674 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​88.05 km².

Geographical location

The Balaton (German Balaton ), the largest lake in Western and Central Europe is, west of Aba in 27 km distance.

The M7 motorway to Budapest runs north-west, 13 km from Aba.

Latène Age burial ground

A Celtic grave was found during a burial in the (modern) cemetery of the Felsõbáránd district . A rescue excavation carried out in 1968 uncovered two more graves. A body burial and a cremation with some grave goods could be dated for the time of the Early and Middle Latène (around the 3rd century BC). In the round applied to the burial circular trenches were found two vessels with pork bone in the grave 2 itself as grave goods a bronze primer pair with chain, a likewise bronze pseudo filigree primer , two fragments of glass bracelets and one of lignite . The pseudo-filigree primer is a local product.

The finds are now in the Szent István Király Muzeum in Székesfehérvár .
