The Abasiniski rayon ( Russian Абазинский район ; abasinisch Абаза район; Abasinischer Rajon ) is a Raion in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia of the Russian Federation .

The Rajon located in the North Caucasus has about 17,000 inhabitants, the administrative center is the locality ( Aul ) Inschitsch-Tschukun . The vast majority of the population (87.1%) belong to the eponymous people of the Abasins , while smaller minorities are Circassians (5.0%), Russians (4.1%) and Karachay (1.9%). The Rajon was created in 2006 and is divided into a total of five municipalities.
