Abbas al-Marayati (born October 26, 1987 ) is a Finnish pool player .

Career

In 2003 Abbas al-Marayati won a medal for the first time at a European Youth Championship with bronze in the pupils' 9-ball . A year later he was third in the 14/1 in the students and in the juniors . At the 2005 European Youth Championship he made it to the final in the 9-ball of the juniors, in which he was defeated by the German Thomas Lüttich .

In April 2009, al-Marayati took part in the men's European championship for the first time . There he did not get beyond the 49th place in the 14/1 endlessly. At the Interpool 9-Ball Open 2010 he was third. In December 2011, al-Marayati reached the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Treviso Open , but lost in the round of 32 against the Austrian Mario He . In April 2013 he made it into the final round for the first time at the European Championship . After he was knocked out endlessly in 14/1 and in 10-ball in the round of 64, he reached the round of 32 in 9-ball competition, in which he was defeated 5: 9 to Greek Nikos Ekonomopoulos .
