Abdou Kolley
Abdou Kolley (born January 1, 1970 in Gambia also Abdou Colley) is a politician in the West African state of Gambia.
Life
Professional activity
Kolley studied at the University of Saint-Étienne until 1997 and began his career as an economist at the Department of State for Finance & Economic Affairs . In 2001 he moved to the Gambia Divestiture Agency and became its director. He stayed there until 2004 when he moved to the United Nations Development Program Office in The Gambia.

As a non-party candidate in the 2007 parliamentary elections in Gambia , Kolley ran in the Kombo South constituency . He was defeated by Paul L. Mendy , the candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).
In the same year he was appointed to the cabinet of Gambia (as Minister of Trade, Industry and Employment English Secretary of State for Trade, Industry and Employment ) appointed. He served in this position until 19 June 2009 and then took over the finance portfolio as Finance Minister ( Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs ).
On 19 March 2010 Kolley was as Minister of Finance and Economy ( English Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs ) of Momodou S. Foon replaced. However, he got the office back on July 21, 2010.
In a cabinet reshuffle Kolley was again as Minister of Trade, Regional Integration and Employment (27 January 2011 English Trade, Regional Integration and Employment appointed). With effect from March 18, 2011, Kolley was dismissed from his office as Minister of Commerce.
