Abdul Razaq Muhyiddin Hassan Tahir (born October 12, 1936 Accra ) is a former Ghanaian Islamic scholar and diplomat .

education

He received his university entrance qualification in 1962 at the Al-Azhar Institute in Cairo . Abdul received his bachelor's degree in Arabic language and Islamic studies in 1966 at Dar ul-Ulum of Al-Azhar University in Cairo. In 1982 he received his master's degree in Arabic from Bayero University Kano in Kano , Nigeria. In 1984 he completed his studies as a Ph.D. from.

Career

From 1979 to 2000 he was a lecturer at the Institute for African Studies and Research at Cairo University . He was the spokesman, commentator and broadcaster for Radio Cairo's international program . Abdul published a series on literacy, including "Muslim Companion" in the Hausa language on fasting , zakāt , hajj and ʿumra . He was also a member of the Faculty Council of the Study Commission, Orientation and Advice Committee and Coordinator for Arabic. He also contributed to the Islamic education of Ghanaian Muslims through lectures, sermons and Koran exegesis . Until October 2001 he was a professor at the Al-Azhar Institute for Foreign Students in Cairo. From October 2001 to 2005 he was the Ghanaian ambassador to Riyadh ( Saudi Arabia ) and, based in Riyadh, was also accredited in Doha ( Qatar ).
