Abel Gómez Moreno (born February 20, 1982 in Seville ) is a Spanish football player who plays in the Spanish Segunda División B for UCAM Murcia CF.
Player career
Moreno started his football career in 2002 with Sevilla Atlético , the second team of Sevilla FC . After three seasons he left this to play at Malaga B, another reserve team. The big difference, however, was the league affiliation, as Málaga B was in the Segunda División at the time. For this he was active for two years - in the first attempt the relegation could still be achieved, in the second year the relegation followed. Thereupon Moreno left the B-Team to join the second division rivals Real Murcia. In the 2006/07 season he and his team achieved promotion to the top class.
In the summer of 2008, the Romanian record champions Steaua Bucharest Moreno signed. There he only came on two missions and left Bucharest again in early 2009. He was hired by Deportivo Xerez , who played in the Segunda División at the time. In Xerez he became a regular after some initial difficulties and achieved promotion with his team in 2009 . In the Primera División, however, he had to accept immediate relegation . He was only used irregularly. In the summer of 2010 moved to Granada CF in the Segunda División. He reached fifth place in the table with the promoted team at the end of the 2010/11 season and was in the starting line-up in almost all games. In the play-offs he achieved promotion. In the Primera División he mostly came on as a substitute and managed to stay up with his team at the end of the 2011/12 season. He left Granada in the summer of 2012 and moved to Córdoba in the Segunda División. After the 2012/13 season had been completed on a place in midfield, he finished the following season with his team in seventh place and rose again. In both years he was a regular player. One league higher, he came into play only irregularly and at the end of the 2014/15 season clearly missed the class.
In the summer of 2015, Moreno moved to Cádiz FC , who was playing in Segunda División B at the time. He finished the 2015/16 season with his team in fourth place and achieved promotion to the Segunda División via the play-offs. In the first half of the 2016/17 season it was only used four times. In January 2017 he left Cádiz and joined Lorca Deportiva in Segunda División B. With his new team, he rose to the Segunda División in the summer. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season he mostly came on as a substitute and joined UCAM Murcia CF in Segunda División B in early 2018 .
