The Aberfoyle River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

geography

The river has its source around three kilometers northeast of the small town of Llangothlin on the New England Highway . It is located on the eastern roof of the Great Dividing Range . From there the Aberfoyle River flows southeast to Mount Hourigan . The river passes this mountain on its south side and then turns its course to the northeast. In the southern Guy Fawkes River National Park it then flows into the Guy Fawkes River .
