Absalom Themba Dlamini

Absalom Themba Dlamini (born December 1, 1950 ) is a Swaziland politician . He was Prime Minister of Swaziland from November 26, 2003 to October 16, 2008.

biography

Dlamini graduated from the then University of Botswana and Swaziland in 1978 with a bachelor's degree . In 1987 he obtained a Masters from the University of Nairobi . Since his apprenticeship he gained experience in many different areas; He has held managerial positions at the Swaziland National Provident Fund , the Swaziland Central Bank and the Swaziland Industrial Development Company . Dlamini also served as a board member in many Swaziland companies. From 1991 he was director and chairman of the board of Tibiyo Taka Ngwane , a national organization for the preservation of Swaziland culture and the development of economic strategies.

Dlamini was appointed Prime Minister on November 14, 2003. King Mswati III honored him with the "Royal Medal of the Supreme Adviser to the Royal Decree of King Sobhuza II. "

On October 16, 2008, he was followed by Prime Minister Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini , who had already been in office before him .
