Jameson Mbilini Dlamini

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Prince Jameson Mbilini Dlamini (born August 5, 1932 - June 5, 2008 ) was Prime Minister of Swaziland from November 4, 1993 to May 8, 1996.

Prior to his appointment as Prime Minister, he had already been a member of the Cabinet as Minister of Public Affairs since October 1991. During his reign with his 17-person cabinet, he tried to solve the country's economic and political problems. He failed completely. An opposition made up of traders, trade unions and banned but tolerated parties continued to expand resistance against the Dlamini government with rallies and strikes. This led to King Mswati III. dropped the prime minister and made him ambassadorial.
