Badges for special achievements in troop service are three different badges of the Bundeswehr , namely achievement badges , reservist achievement badges and rifle cord , with which according to the central guideline A1-2630 / 0-9804 "Suit regulations for soldiers of the Bundeswehr", this has the central service regulation (ZDv ) 37/10 “Suit regulations of the Bundeswehr” replaced, special troop service and sporting achievements of active soldiers (Chapter 5, Sect. 5.12.2 “Badges for special achievements in troop service”), reservists of the Bundeswehr (Chapter 5, Sect. 5.12 .3 "Reservist Achievement Badge") and friendly armed forces are honored.

The badge is worn as a metal badge in its original size (as shown on the right) on the fold or in the middle of the left breast pocket or in the same place on items of clothing without patch pockets on the service jacket, shirt and jacket of the formal suit. The service badge may also be sewn onto the service jacket and jacket of the formal suit as a self-procured, embroidered fabric badge. On the other hand, only self-procured fabric badges may be worn on field blouses, on-board jackets and on-board shirts; The metal badge may only be attached there on the day it is handed over .

The central guideline A2-2630 / 0-0-5 “Dress code for soldiers in the Bundeswehr” regulates the requirements for the award of the performance badge created in 1971. The badges everyone can at the earliest after four months of service to every soldier armed force will be awarded, as part of a reserve service or service Lichen event (DVAG) also reservists. Additional requirements must be met in order to obtain the reservist achievement badge. The achievement badge may not be awarded “on an honorary basis”. It exists in three stages:

The badge of achievement can be awarded directly in silver or gold without having to go through the lower levels.

In order to be awarded the badge, the following requirements must be met within twelve calendar months:

General military services

  • Shooting skill:

The conditions are met if one of the minimum scoring exercises required for the rifle line for bronze, silver and gold with one of the weapons rifle, pistol, machine gun, machine gun or bazooka 3 is fulfilled. Professional services

Each of these individual characteristics must be assigned at least the rating “3” (= the performance expectations were met.) For all levels of the performance badge. If no assessment is to be made or if there is no assessment yet, the disciplinary superior can nevertheless note the conditions as fulfilled if he or she assigns at least the rating “3” to these individual characteristics.

In general, the achievement badge can only be handed out at the level that corresponds to the lowest level of the assessment exercise or the achievement march.

Special features for disabled soldiers

The following regulations may differ for disabled soldiers:

  • March: The soldier can choose the regulation for members of the Navy (clothes swimming)
  • Sporting achievements: The German sports badge is obtained under conditions for the disabled.

However, a medical certificate must be provided to prove that there are no concerns about completing the required disciplines.

The design of the reservist badge corresponds to the badge with an additionally embossed "R" (as shown). The way of wearing corresponds to that of the achievement badge, in addition the reservist achievement badge in miniature version can be worn with civilian suit. The reservist badge differs from the badge in the following two ways:

  • An obstacle course must be completed in a given time. You can choose between two variants:

If these conditions have been met in addition to the conditions of the badge, the badge can be awarded by the disciplinary superiors of the training unit.

The disciplinary superior or a suitable soldier appointed by him is responsible for the inspection . All services must be provided within 12 months.

Delivery

The badges must be handed out in a dignified manner. It takes place for achievement badges and reservist achievement badges in level I (bronze) by the next disciplinary superior; for levels II (silver) and III (gold), it must be a disciplinary superior with at least the disciplinary competence of a battalion commander . Alternatively, reservists can be awarded by the responsible regional command .

The soldier receives a metal badge in original size for the service suit, which becomes his property.
