The Acura ZDX is a passenger car from the Honda brand Acura .
The vehicle offered between 2009 and 2013 looks similar to the BMW X6 , for example , but in contrast to it is no taller than a normal car. Acura is promoting the ZDX as a luxurious four-door sports coupe ; the designation as crossover, however, avoided. The technical basis is provided by the Acura MDX , a full-fledged SUV. The concept vehicle was presented at NYIAS 2009, and the production vehicle was formally presented at the Orange County Auto Show in October 2009. The rear door handles are housed in the window frame, so that the car looks two-door at first glance. From 2012 to 2015, Honda offered an overlapping model with the Honda Crosstour that was almost identical to the Acura ZDX. In China, the ZDX was offered between 2011 and possibly 2015.
Like most Acura models of the time, the ZDX is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine with 224 kW (300 hp ). The all - wheel drive with dynamic torque distribution called by Acura SH-AWD is standard in the ZDX.
