Adalbert Loeschke

Adalbert Loeschke (born October 19, 1903 in Angermünde , † 1970 in Berlin ) was a German physician.

Adalbert Loeschke studied at the Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Berlin and the University of Tübingen medicine and was in Berlin in 1928 with his thesis dissecting aneurysm on a syphilitic basis for Dr. med. PhD .

From 1930 to 1932 he worked at Hans Beumer (1884-1945) in Göttingen and from 1932 to 1941 when Hans Kleinschmidt at the University Children's Hospital in Cologne, where he joined in 1936 at the University of Cologne habilitated . From 1939 to 1941 Adalbert Loeschke served as a troop doctor in the Wehrmacht and then in 1941 became the acting head of the children's hospital in Litzmannstadt . After the end of the Second World War, he worked as a pediatrician in Darmstadt from 1945 to 1954 and then from 1954 to 1970 as director of the Kaiserin-Auguste-Viktoria-Haus in Berlin-Charlottenburg and as professor of paediatrics at the Free University of Berlin . Adalbert Loeschke wrote the revision of paediatrics published in 1954 as the 25th edition . A help for students and doctors as an introduction to paediatrics by Erich Klose (1882–1921) and, as director of the children's clinic, discussed a record published by the Nestle company on the subject of the history of Berlin pediatrics .

Loeschke became a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA) in 1933 , where he last held the rank of SA storm leader . In 1934 he became a member of the National Socialist German Medical Association (NSDÄB) and in 1937 a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).

In 1957, Adalbert Loeschke was accepted as a member of the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina in the Pediatrics Section . Between 1958 and 1970 he headed the Berlin Pediatric Welfare Association. In 1966 he became chairman of the German Society for Child and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ).

He was married to Ilse Fölsche and had four children.
