Adam Eismann

Adam Eismann (born August 13, 1872 in Planig , Rheinhessen, † April 15, 1956 in Bernkastel-Kues ) was a German Catholic priest.

Career

After attending elementary school, the Progymnasium and the Gymnasium, Eismann studied theology at the University of Innsbruck , where he received his doctorate. He then attended the seminary in Trier and was ordained a priest in 1897.

As a pastor he came first to Bendorf , later as a pastor to Büdlich and Herdorf . From 1925 he was pastor in the Wittlich prison .

From 1919 to 1921 Eismann was a member of the Center Party in the constituent Prussian state assembly and from 1921 to 1928 in the Prussian state parliament .

He was co-editor of the Catholic correspondence and a member of the Görres Society for the Care of Catholic Sciences .
