Adam Steven Ficek (born March 8, 1974 in Bletchley , Milton Keynes , Buckinghamshire ) is an English musician and best known as the former drummer of the rock band Babyshambles . Since 2007 he has been running a side project; As a solo artist he appears as Roses Kings Castles (RKC), mainly playing guitar.

Life

Adam Ficek first played in the band The White Sport. He also released his remixes as a DJ under the pseudonym Mains Ignition. In 2005 he and his The White Sport bandmate Patrick Walden joined Babyshambles, which were founded a few months earlier by Pete Doherty after Doherty was excluded from his previous band The Libertines . Ficek replaced Gemma Clarke , who left the band in January 2005. In June 2010 Ficek left the band and was replaced by Danny Goffey , who had previously been the drummer in the band Supergrass , which was dissolved in 2010 .

His solo project resulted in his first solo album in 2008, which was released as Roses Kings Castles . The EP Apples & Engines was released in 2009 and the second album in 2010.

Based on the song "Fuck Forever" from the Babyshambles album Down in Albion , he sells fan shirts with the imprint "Ficek Forever".
