Adam Lipiński

Adam Józef Lipiński (born September 11, 1956 in Głubczyce ) is a Polish politician , member of the Sejm in the I., IV., V., VI ., VII . and 8th electoral term as well as former head of the cabinet of Jarosław Kaczyński . On November 16, 2015, he was appointed Minister for Relations with Parliament in the Szydło Cabinet .

Life

He attended the 2nd general high school in Legnica and the Business Academy (Faculty of National Economy) in Wroclaw . Among other things, he worked in the Hanka clothing company in Legnica. At the end of the 1970s he was active in a student committee of Solidarność and as spokesman for the Legnica Committee for Social Self-Defense . During the state of war from 1981 to 1983 he went underground and continued to work in the opposition. Among other things, he was the head of the printing works of the Regional Strike Committee in Wroclaw, was a co-founder of the organization Ruch Społeczny Solidarność (Social Movement Solidarność) and editor of several publishers for books and magazines (Verlag Kret, monthly Konkret and Nowa Republika ).

In 1989 he was one of the founders of the Centrum Demokratyczne (Democratic Center) association and a member of the Obywatelski "Solidarność" (Citizens Committee Solidarność) in Wroclaw. He organized the party structures of the Catholic right-wing conservative Porozumienie Centrum (PC) in Lower Silesia. From 1991 to 1993 he worked for the Porozumienie Centrum in the Polish Sejm. In 2001 he was one of the founders of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS) and received a seat in the Sejm again in the parliamentary elections that year. During this fourth electoral term he was a member of the Sejm Committees for the State Treasury and for National and Ethnic Minorities. He was also the editor of Nowe Państwo magazine .

On November 4, 2005, he was appointed State Secretary in the Prime Minister's State Chancellery and was responsible for government-parliamentary cooperation. On July 14, 2006 he became head of the Political Cabinet of Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński . He was released from both offices on November 16, 2007.

In September 2006, a video recorded with a hidden camera was released showing Lipiński attempting to bribe. He offered MP Renata Beger a post as State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture if she would vote for his party.

In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected for the fourth time for the Legnica constituency with 32,303 votes. He is the deputy chairman of the Sejm Committee for Liaison with Poland Abroad .

He is one of the 89 people from the European Union against whom Russia imposed an entry ban in May 2015 .
