Adele Jergens (born November 26, 1917 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York , † November 22, 2002 in Camarillo , California ) was an American actress .

Life & Career

She made her film debut in 1943 with Hello, Frisco, Hello . The actress played her greatest role in 1948 in I dance in your heart as the mother of Marilyn Monroe, who was only nine years her junior . In 1949 Adele Jergens played the lead role in the adventure flick The Legacy of Monte Christo alongside her future husband Glenn Langan . In addition, she appeared in numerous TV productions. Adele Jergens withdrew from acting as early as the mid-1950s.

She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (7046 Hollywood Blvd.)

The artist was married to actor Glenn Langan from 1951 until his death in 1991. The couple had a child.
