action

Sir Allan Claire intends to travel to Nottingham to marry his childhood sweetheart, Lady Christabel, whom he has not seen for five years. Claire, who fought alongside King Richard the Lionheart for five years , sets off on a journey with his sister Marian. In Sherwood Forest , the two are attacked by an unknown archer and rescued by the outlaw Robin Hood . Robin blindfolds his protégés and leads them to his camp deep in the forest.

Claire informs Robin of his opposition to the corrupt government of Prince John , who has usurped the English throne. Robin, a loyal follower of Richard the Lionheart, warns Claire not to continue her journey. Lady Christabel has been promised as a wife by her father, Sir Fitz-Alwin, the prince's vassal, Baron Tristram, which would also bring Nottingham under the prince's rule. Robin pledges his help to Claire to save Lady Christabel.

Robin and Claire sneak into the baron's castle and free Christabel. Robin is captured on the run, but escapes with the help of Christabel's maid Maude. The angry baron pursues the fugitives into Sherwood Forest and can bring Christabel back from Robin's camp. In revenge, the Baron and his nephew Sir Philip kidnap Claire's sister Marian. Robin, in love with Marian, lets the castle attack. But the attack stops when Robin receives a message from the baron. He wants to release Marian if his life is spared. Robin agrees and is to be accompanied to the castle by two soldiers. The soldiers are overwhelmed by Little John and Will Scarlet , who put on their uniforms and now lead Robin to the castle. Robin is disarmed in the castle and is to be hanged. John and Will free him.

The baron and Philip ride to the village to have a double wedding with Christabel and Marian. Robin and Claire gallop to the village and interrupt the ceremony. They can defeat their opponents in a sword fight. Brother Tuck now performs the wedding ceremony and marries Claire to Lady Christabel and Robin to Marian. Just as the ceremony is over, news arrives that King Richard has returned to England. Robin and Claire kiss their wives and ride to meet their king.
