Adelheidstrasse 9

The house Adelheidstrasse 9 is a listed villa in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The villa was built in 1901 by the royal building officer Hagemann for the district councilor M. Bäntsch . The building is dominated by a corner tower. The floor plan appears to be strongly structured. The facade is designed in historicizing forms. The upper floor of the tower and the bay window on the street side with a half -hip gable are decorated with historicizing ornamental frameworks and sandstone. The half-timbering shows typical forms of the 19th century, such as parapet and storey-high struts, as well as fan rosettes and wooden foot brackets, typical decorative forms of the 16th century. Thresholds with stair friezes can be recognized as medieval shapes .

On the south side of the building there is a vestibule, the design of which is reminiscent of stately architecture. The architecture of the villa is based on the execution of mansions from the 16th and 17th centuries. The Renaissance design of half-timbered and massive houses is cited.

In the courtyard there is a servants' house and a coach house, the architecture of which is adapted to that of the main house.

Parts of the valuable interior decoration in the forms of historicism and art nouveau have also been preserved. Wall and floor tiles, lead glazing, wall paintings, paneling, beamed ceilings, lamps and doors.

Parts of the front yard and garden as well as the wrought iron fence also belong to the monument ensemble.
