Adem Huduti
Adem Huduti (* 1952 in Yugoslavia ) is a Turkish general .
Huduti was born into a Bosniak family near Prizren , Kosovo in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia). He grew up in Turkey in the late 1950s and attended the Kuleli military school in Istanbul. He joined the Turkish army . He graduated from the Military Academy / Army Officer School ( Kara Harp Okulu ) in Ankara in 1973 and was promoted to lieutenant .
He then attended the infantry school (Piyade Okulu) in Istanbul and was various a. a. used in logistics. In the meantime he graduated from the Army War College (Kara Harp Akademisi) in Istanbul from 1985 to 1987. From 1993 to 1996 he worked for NATO in Izmir and Bosnia and from 1996 to 1998 at the Allied Forces Southern Europe (AFSOUTH) headquarters in Naples, Italy. For several months he was stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan , as part of ISAF in 2002 .
He was promoted as follows: Brigadier General (1999), Major General (2004), and General (2014). From 2014 to 2016 he was the commander of the 2nd Turkish Army in Malatya. He was in command of the controversial military operations against the militant Kurdish underground and terrorist organization PKK in Diyarbakir and Cizre .
He is a holder of the NATO medal and Turkish decorations.
In the course of the attempted coup in Turkey in 2016 , Huduti was arrested as the highest-ranking general.
Huduti is married and has one child.
