Adil Kaouch

Adil Kaouch ( Arabic عادل كاوش; * January 1, 1979 in Ksar-el-Kebir , Tanger-Tétouan ) is a Moroccan middle-distance runner who specializes in the 1500-meter course .

Life

In 1998 he became junior world champion. In 1999 he was seventh at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi and eleventh at the World Championships in Seville .

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he was eliminated in the semifinals. In 2001 he finished seventh at the World Indoor Championships and eleventh at the Edmonton World Championships , and at the 2004 Athens Olympics, he came ninth.

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 , he won silver over 1500 m. The following year he won bronze at the 2006 World Cross Country Championships and silver at the 2006 African Athletics Championships .

During a doping test carried out during the Golden League meeting in Rome on July 13, 2007 , rh-EPO was found. Adil Kaouch was then banned for doping for two years.

Adil Kaouch is 1.70 m tall and weighs 62 kg.
