Adlanz is a district of the town of Schauenstein in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .
The scattered settlement is mostly east of the connecting road between Neudorf and Edlendorf or Almbranz , about 3 km southeast of Schauenstein. Architectural monument is a four-sided courtyard with a stable house with a tailcoat roof .
The place name Adlanz is also spelled “Adlantz”, “Adlatz”, “Almeranz”, “Adolz”, “Atliz”, “Odlitz” or “Ottlanz” in documents. The name is interpreted as a genetic place name for the personal name Adaland. Adlanz was in the late Middle Ages to the deserted village , such as such. B. 1425, and only repopulated in the 17th century. Traces of the old castle, the Adlanz tower hill , are a ground monument. In Seehof Palace as the seat of the central conservation authority some shards finds are documented.
