Uschertsgrün is a village in the town of Schauenstein in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

geography

Uschertsgrün is located a little to the north and below the town center of Schauenstein, opposite a new industrial area around Waldenfelsstraße on the left bank of the Selbitz and on the valley slope above at around 520 to 562  m above sea level. NHN . The hamlet of Kleinschmiedenhammer borders the southern outskirts.

history

Uschertsgrün the rule Schauenstein appeared in 1386 on the sale by the Wolf Striegel to the Viscount of Nuremberg . The place was on the Münchberg – Selbitz railway line , which has been closed in sections. In 1978 Uschertsgrün was incorporated as part of the community of Windischengrün after Schauenstein; the old community was part of the Naila district until 1972 . The place had 209 inhabitants at the end of 2013, including 22 secondary residences.

Architectural monuments

There are no registered monuments in Uschertsgrün . Lippert mentions a residential stable house typical of the region with a hipped roof and half-timbering on the upper floor from the time before the mid-19th century.
