Weidesgrün is a district of the town of Selbitz in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

Weidesgrün is located in the south of Selbitz on the state road St 2195 , which leads via Uschertsgrün to Schauenstein . The profile on the tunnel rock is one of the geotopes in the Hof district . The place was on the Münchberg – Selbitz railway line , which has now been closed in sections. The Eselberg tunnel testifies to this. The Döbra flows into the Selbitz at Weidesgrün . Pasture green of the rule Schauenstein appeared in 1386 on the sale by the Wolf Striegel to the Viscount of Nuremberg . Before it was incorporated into Selbitz, Weidesgrün was an independent municipality in the Naila district together with the wasteland of Stegmühle . There are no registered architectural monuments in Weidesgrün , Lippert mentions two residential stable houses from the end of the 18th century that are characteristic of the region .
