Adnan Čustović (born April 14, 1978 in Mostar , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former national soccer player from Bosnia-Herzegovina , who played for various clubs in France and Belgium.
In the national team he was active between March 24 and September 12, 2007 for Bosnia and Herzegovina . He played his first international match against Norway . On June 2, 2007, he scored his first goal in an international match against Turkey , which helped his team to victory.
He ended his career as a player in the summer of 2014. He then worked as assistant coach at KV Kortrijk in the 14/15 season .
From summer 2015 he worked in the same position at KV Ostend . After the head coach was dismissed there in September 2017, he took up this position. His contract ended at the end of the season.
In November 2018 Waasland-Beveren signed him as a trainer. The 2018/19 season ended Waasland-Beveren in penultimate place in the table - but with seven points behind the only relegation place.
In the following season 2019/20 the club was in last place in the table after five games with only one point. Then Čustović was dismissed as a coach. In early March 2020, it was two games remaining the main round again as coach of KV Oostende , succeeding Dennis van Wijk committed. At this point the club had slipped to penultimate place with two points ahead of the relegated place. Čustović managed to keep the club in this position until the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and thus not relegated . Nevertheless, on June 7, 2020, the board decided not to sign him as a coach for the new 2020/21 season.
