Adolf Alker

Adolf Alker (born October 18, 1921 in Graz , Styria , † September 3, 1984 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ) was an Austrian mineralogist with a doctorate . From 1952 to 1984 he worked at the Steiermärkisches Landesmuseum Joanneum , most recently as head of the mineralogical department. He worked on the documentation of Styrian mineral finds and wrote mineralogical essays about Styria. This is how he “earned” according to the Austrian lexicon . Alker died unexpectedly in the fall of 1984 after he had already planned a trip to South America for 1985.
