Adolf Laimböck (born December 4, 1933 in Schwaz , Austria ; † December 17, 2018 ) was a German actor .

He attended the drama school in Linz and then had engagements and guest appearances at theaters. Among other things, he played for ten years at the National Theater in Mannheim from 1975 to 1985 . He celebrated his greatest stage success there with the popular play Der Bockerer , which also took him to China. From 1988 onwards he worked as a freelancer on theaters in Zurich, Cologne, Frankfurt am Main, Bonn, the Burgtheater Vienna and the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg . He became known to the television audience through leading roles in the television films Zweikampf, Das Tier and in the six-part Atlantis must not go under , as well as through numerous appearances in series such as Der Bergdoktor, Tatort and Parkhotel Stern .

Short biography

Adolf Laimböck was born on December 4, 1933 in Schwaz / Tyrol and grew up in Linz on the Danube. In 1949 he began training as a book printer, which he successfully completed and then took on a job as a book printer. From 1953 to 1963 he attended drama school at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. Until 1965 he worked as an actor at the Innsbruck State Theater, which he left in 1965 and accepted an engagement at the St. Gallen City Theater in Switzerland. From 1968 to 1987 he had engagements at the Städtische Bühnen Freiburg, the Nationaltheater Mannheim and at the stages of the city of Cologne. In 1988 he took up his freelance work as a guest at the theaters in Cologne, Zurich, Bern, Bonn, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Burgtheater Vienna and the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater Hamburg. In 1993 he took part in the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel and in the Weimar Art Festival . In the same year he began a tour in German-speaking countries under the stage name Der Bockerer . This was followed two years later by a Germany tour with Der Strom and in 1997 with Der Postmeister . His last tour of Germany followed in 2001 with "Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor".
