Adolf Pohlmann (born June 13, 1875 in Osnabrück ; † September 26, 1956 in Hanover) was a German teacher and headmaster , as well as airship .

Life

Adolf Pohlmann was born in Osnabrück in 1875. He studied in Bonn, Munich, Berlin, Göttingen and abroad (France, England, Italy). In Göttingen , Pohlmann received his doctorate from the university there in 1906 with a dissertation on the subject of experimental contributions to the study of memory .

In the same year Pohlmann got a job at the Göttingen Higher Girls' School , last worked in 1909 as a senior teacher at the Göttingen Lyceum . At Whitsun 1909, Pohlmann accompanied the aviation pioneer and aeronaut Johannes Poeschel and the chairman of the Lower Saxony Aviation Association, Helmrich von Elgott, on a 48-hour journey in the Göttingen “Segler” hot-air balloon from Bitterfeld to Perrouse in France , which he talks about in the same Year wrote in the Illustrated Aeronautical Communications .

Pohlmann was a member of the Lower Saxony and Osnabrück Association for Aviation, as well as the Hanoverian Association for Aviation.
