Adolf Reese

Heinrich Ernst Adolf Reese (born March 2, 1855 in Stade ; † January 24, 1909 there ) was a brewery owner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Reese attended the Realgymnasium in Stade. He practically learned beer brewing in his father's shop in Stade and in the Falkenkrug brewery in Detmold , theoretically at the Lehmann Brewery School in Worms . He also enjoyed commercial training at the Reese Gebr. Company in Bodenwerder . From 1891 he was co-owner, from 1903 sole owner of the LA Reese company, brewery in Stade. In 1873/74 he served as a one-year volunteer with the field artillery regiment No. 9 in Stade and in 1876 he became a lieutenant in the reserve, in 1890 a prime lieutenant and in 1898 a captain in the Landwehr. In 1894 he was elected mayor and in 1900 he was appointed senator to the municipal council of Stade. From 1888 to 1898 he was chairman of the local warrior association and from 1898 onwards in the same position of the Unterelbe district of the German Warrior League . He was the bearer of the Red Eagle Order IV class .

From November 1906 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Hanover 18 ( Stade , Geestemünde , Bremervörde , Osterholz ) and the National Liberal Party . The mandate ended with his death.
