Adolf Theodor Franck

Adolf Theodor Franck (* 1841 in Hamburg-Billwerder ; † 1929 in Hamburg ) was a German landscape and genre painter and etcher , nephew of Carl Julius Milde .

Franck began his painter apprenticeship in 1858 in Hamburg with Günther Gensler and Jacob Gensler .

From October 24, 1860, he studied in the class of antiquities at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Johann Georg Hiltensperger and Hermann Anschütz .

He spent the years from 1863 to 1868 in Italy , after which he settled in Hamburg, but often visited Munich .

Adolf Theodor Franck was mainly concerned with painting landscapes and traditional costumes. He was also a member of the Hamburg Artists' Association from 1832 .
