Adolph Hoffmann (judge)

Adolph Hoffmann (born April 14, 1835 in Erfurt ; † June 15, 1899 in Berlin ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hoffmann attended high school in Erfurt and studied law at the universities of Berlin and Heidelberg from 1854 to 1857 . From 1857 to 1862 he was Appeal - Auskultator the District Court of Erfurt and Superior Court clerk at the Municipal Court Berlin. Between 1862 and 1869 he was first a court assessor , then a regular judge, and since October 1879 a district judge in Berlin.

Since the Reichstag election in 1874 he had been a member of the Reichstag as a representative of a Berlin constituency , but resigned his mandate in January 1880 due to illness. In 1881 , 1884 and 1887 he was re-elected to the Reichstag in the Thuringian constituency of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and was second Vice-President of the Reichstag from the last session of the 5th legislative period until January 1887. He was a member of the Reichstag until 1890, when he first represented the German Progressive Party , and from 1884 the German Liberal Party .
