Adolpho Justo Bezerra de Menezes (born July 19, 1910 in Rio de Janeiro , † 1990 ) was a Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Menezes was a Bachelor of Laws and Social Science from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and geodesist from the Colegio Militar Rio de Janeiro .

From 1954 to 1956 he was employed as chargé d'affaires in Jakarta and was employed there from April 18 to 24, 1955 as an observer of the Bandung Conference .

In the period from February 9, 1966 to June 14, 1968, Menezes was transferred to Karachi as ambassador and from January 1, 1970 to July 18, 1975 to Tunis .

Publications

His literary work is characterized by a sense of mission of the "Catholic, Portuguese race", for which he sought a solidarity with the authoritarian regime of the Estado Novo (Portugal) , which distinguished him as a historian with the Grand Cross of the Order of Infante Dom Henrique .
