Adrian Goiginger (born February 22, 1991 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian filmmaker. His feature film The Best of All Worlds was awarded the Compass Perspective Prize at the 2017 Berlinale .

Life

After graduating from high school, Goiginger did his military service and founded the film production company 2010 Entertainment OG together with school friends in Salzburg in 2012. With this he realized various short films, commercials, image films and music videos as a director and screenwriter.

From 2013 he studied stage directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . With his short films Klang der Stille and Billionsmarsch , he was invited to numerous festivals around the world and received several awards. His feature film debut The Best of All Worlds was screened at the 2017 Berlinale in the "Perspektive Deutsches Kino" series and was awarded the Kompass-Perspektive-Award for the best film in the series. At the Diagonale and at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Film Festival, the film was awarded the Audience Award in 2017 and Goiginger the NDR Director's Award. Goiginger has also been working as a lecturer at the Athanor Academy Passau since October 2018 .
