Unforgettable is an Austrian school project and fiction film drama by Adrian Goiginger . The film is about a young person who, due to an accident, has a perfect memory and never forgets.

action

19-year-old Daniel Reiter is attending the final class of a secondary school in Salzburg , Austria . In an accident in which his best friend Michael dies, Daniel suffers a head injury and from then on remembers every sensory perception he has ever had in his life. Due to this permanent state from then on, undreamt-of possibilities are open to him and he amazes his fellow human beings both privately and professionally. Among other things, he takes part in the World Memory Championship 2010 and is one of the favorites together with Gunther Karsten and Ben Pridmore . However, the blessing eventually turns into a curse. He can no longer control the memories that document his whole life and ultimately wants nothing more than to be able to forget again.

The film is a high school graduation project , but has a comparatively high budget of around € 10,000 and around 160 participants. There are three crew members in the Matura class (Adrian Goiginger, Philipp Strauss and Georg Luger [sound engineer] ).

In addition to many amateur actors, the professional actors Thomas Flicker ( The Public Prosecutor , A Case for Two ) and Maik Möller ( Marienhof , The Old One ) also play a role. The memory world champion, author and multiple German memory master Gunther Karsten was also engaged. He plays himself in the World Memory Championship.

The film was shot in October 2009 in Salzburg and Freilassing at over 30 locations, including the Cineplexx cinema, the Christian Doppler Clinic , the Salzburg municipal cemetery , an Esso petrol station and the Josef-Mayburger-Kai.

The film was financially and materially supported by the Bundeshandelsakademie I in Salzburg, the Raiffeisenbank , Panasonic , Sony , Porsche and various cultural subsidies.

The Austrian band The Seesaw wrote the title track for "Unforgettable", with the title of the same name . In addition, songs by Leo Aberer , Millions of Dreads , Doris Russo and a few other artists are used. The film music will be composed by the Salzburg composer Dominik Wallner .

The world premiere took place in the DAS KINO cinema in Salzburg on April 17th, 2010. At the same time, Wattsmusic published it on DVD.
