Adriana Nikolova ( Bulgarian Адриана Николова , spelling for the World Chess Federation FIDE Adriana Nikolova ; born  November 9, 1988 in Stara Sagora ) is a Bulgarian chess player .

Life

Nikolova was the winner of the Open Bulgarian Women's Championship in 2006 in Wraza . At the Open Bulgarian Women's Championship in 2008, again in Wraza, she was fourth. Since November 2008 she has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM), and she met the required standards at the Bulgarian Women's Championships in 2007 and 2008 and at the European Women's Championships in Plovdiv in 2008 . She achieved a standard for obtaining the title of International Master (IM) in September 2009 at the Magistrale tournament in Amantea, Italy . She has been the Women's Grand Master (WGM) since June 2011, and she met the standards at two open tournaments in 2009 in Cutro and Amantea and at an invitation tournament that was held in Augsburg at the turn of the year 2010/2011 . In 2011 Nikolova won the Bulgarian women's championship in Bankja .

National team

Nikolova took part with the Bulgarian women's team in the 2010 , 2012 , 2014 and 2016 Chess Olympiads as well as the 2009 and 2011 European Team Championships .

In Bulgaria Adriana Nikolova played for the Lokomotiv 2000 Plovdiv team , with whom she took part in the 2010 European Women's Club Cup . In Germany she played with the Chessfreunde von 1891 Friedberg . In the 2010/11 season she played in the 2nd women's Bundesliga middle, after being promoted she played in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons and after a one-year break again in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons in the 1. Women's Bundesliga.
